AUGUST–DECEMBER 2026

Our hall embedded in nature embraces sound, and every performance leaves an indelible impression on its walls. Already this year we’ve heard a remarkable diversity of artists – Martin Hayes on his Irish fiddle, Roomful of Teeth pushing vocal boundaries and Bobby Singh’s cross-cultural exploration.

It’s especially heartening that artists continue to be inspired by this place, bringing so many new ideas, opportunities and projects to us. It’s an important reminder of our mission to inspire artists and audiences, and of our ambition to meet that challenge. Siobhan Stagg’s curation of Chamberfest reflects this sense of purpose, as does the launch of Kate Miller-Heidke’s new album and the debut of Tim Freedman’s Chamber Eight.

In the months ahead, many artists will visit for the first time, like the fraternal piano duo of Lucas and Arthur Jussen from the Netherlands, the trailblazing Attacca Quartet from New York and violin virtuoso Ning Feng from Berlin, who is bringing an extraordinary collection of instruments to create a unique listening experience.

We are also honoured to welcome many returning artists, like Paul Lewis who embarks on a multi-year world tour exploring the keyboard music of Mozart. It’s equally gratifying when returning artists perform together as new or old friends, as with Richard Tognetti and Alexander Gavrylyuk.

Although the James Morrison Weekend is now sold out, there are other offerings that celebrate jazz, folk and fusion artists. Carl Orr has curated an evening to mark the centenary of Miles Davis, Ruth Moody weaves her Americana magic, and the music of Za Górami strikes its own folk path with classical, improvisatory and jazz influences.

Our 2026 concerts reflect the relationship we have developed with you and with these artists over the last eleven years. They are also an expression of a desire to find what’s new or different, and captivating. Inspiration sometimes requires an adventurous spirit.

Our sincere thanks for your continued support and our gratitude to everyone who has given a gift to ensure UKARIA remains vibrant in perpetuity!

There is so much to look forward to in the months ahead and as always, we invite you to join us.
