Like all venues around the country, UKARIA must play its part in continuing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce UKARIA's cultural program will remain on hold until 30 September. As a result, all concerts until that date have been cancelled. Whilst we are very disappointed these performances will not go ahead, the health and safety of our audience, artists and staff is our first priority. If you have booked tickets to any of our concerts within this period, you will receive an email from us with instructions on how to obtain a full refund, or a credit for our 2021 and/or 2022 Seasons. You will also be offered – should you wish – the opportunity to gift your ticket as a tax-deductible donation.

Around Australia and the world, artists and arts organisations are reckoning with the impact of this unprecedented global crisis. Artists are now facing the harrowing reality of having little or no income for the foreseeable future, as concert halls and public spaces around the country shut their doors. We are planning to reschedule as many concerts as possible and to support musicians with half payment of their fee now and the balance after their rescheduled performance. Sadly there will be some artists who we won’t be able to reschedule, particularly those who are part of a national or international tour. For these artists we will pay 25% of their fee as a gift. We will use the funds generously donated by our patrons to support this initiative.

Over the coming months, we will continue to monitor the situation closely, and communicate regular updates (via email, social media and our website) as the situation develops. In the meantime, please stay safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you at UKARIA later in the year.
