THE MAGIC HOUR
Sunset: Approximately 7.52pm
‘Quartet-playing of the rarest quality.’
– The Guardian
It is always a joy to welcome Dene Olding (violin), Dimity Hall (violin), Irina Morozova (viola) and Julian Smiles (cello) back to UKARIA. Almost twenty-five years after their inception, the Goldner String Quartet still retains all four founding members – a remarkable achievement for any Australian ensemble. They’ve recorded the complete Beethoven String Quartet cycle on ABC Classics, and released over ten discs on Hyperion, cementing their reputation as an ensemble of international significance.
