I cannot wait to find a new date to bring it to you, thrillingly disease free! We're gonna wrangle some schedules and get right back to you. Watch this space!'

'Lioness of the stage and screen, Virginia Gay is a master of re-imagining story and song. From her beloved adaptation of Cyrano for Melbourne Theatre Company to her vivid embodiment of the titular heroine in Calamity Jane, Virginia finds truth and beauty inside the most unexpected characters. For this intimate presentation at UKARIA, she has selected songs by the most extraordinary range of contemporary artists – from Radiohead to KD Lang, Sting to Punch Brothers, Elbow to Ella Fitzgerald. With evocative soundscapes and accompaniments from Véronique Serret (violin), Samuel Pankhurst (bass, guitar) and myself on piano and cello, this beautiful concert is filled with poetry and longing, temptation and seduction.'
