'One of the Indigenous voices of her generation, Jess Hitchcock is rightly celebrated for the genre-defying range of her musical output. As comfortable singing alongside Paul Kelly or Kate Miller-Heidke as she is on the stage in operas or with the Sydney Symphony, she brings extraordinary virtuosity and musicianship to all she does. For this very special concert, she is joined by myself and the Penny Quartet, one of the most inventive chamber ensembles in the country, to sing of old histories and new. Featuring repertoire that spans the centuries, she will also share some of her own very special songs in all-new arrangements.'
