A Night of Jazz with Linda May Han Oh

GRAMMY award-winning bassist/composer Linda May Han Oh is coming to UKARIA for two exclusive performances with top jazz musicians and staff from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, The University of Adelaide.

Based in New York City, Linda is currently Associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music in the bass department and is also part of the Institute for Jazz and Gender Justice led by Terri Lyne Carrington.

During her time in Adelaide, Linda will mentor, educate, and perform with the state’s most outstanding jazz students and graduating musicians at Helpmann Academy’s annual A Night of Jazz concert. Presenting two concerts, the afternoon (including Jazz Awards ceremony) and evening concert will take place at the iconic UKARIA Cultural Centre in Mount Barker Summit, featuring Linda as the headlining artist at both concerts.

Strange Heavens, Linda’s stunning new trio album, with Ambrose Akinmusire on trumpet and Tyshawn Sorey on drums, releases 22 August 2025 on Biophilia Records. Pre-orders are essential for catering purposes, and bookings will close at 5pm on Wednesday 13 August, unless sold out prior. 

Please ensure you have a booking for the 7.30pm concert before booking a platter. There is no pre-concert dining prior to the 3pm concert.
