EMMA PEARSON AND TAMARA-ANNA CISLOWSKA

Sunday 15 May 2022  |  2:30PM

* IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT *

We regret to inform you that, due to a critical family emergency, Sally Walker (flute) has sadly had to withdraw from this weekend's concerts, and return to Canberra.

Whilst our thoughts are with Sally, we are extremely grateful that Emma Pearson (soprano) and Tamara-Anna Cislowska (piano) have agreed to perform the concerts this weekend as a duo in Sally's absence. Unfortunately, this will entail some changes to the program, but the repertoire will remain faithful to the Enchanted Gardens theme. Emma and Tamara will introduce the repertoire on the day, speaking in between performances.

As many of you know, we have done everything in our power to allow this concert to go ahead. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we've worked through the various challenges of finding multiple alternative dates, and hope you can join us this weekend both in solidarity for Sally, and – of course – in memory of Taryn Fiebig, who was originally engaged to perform in this concert, but sadly passed away in March 2021.

If you would prefer to receive a credit to attend another UKARIA performance instead, please respond to this email and let us know before midday on Saturday 14 May.

Your continued support, patience and understanding is deeply appreciated.

With thanks and best wishes,

ENCHANTED GARDENS – IN MEMORY OF TARYN FIEBIG

In March 2021, beloved Australian soprano Taryn Fiebig passed away after a long battle with cancer. Originally scheduled to perform in this concert back in February 2021, it was sadly not to be. Acclaimed musicians Sally Walker (flute) and Tamara-Anna Cislowska (piano) remain committed to giving this performance in Taryn's memory, and we're delighted to have been able to secure award-winning soprano Emma Pearson to perform in her stead.

Featuring works by Delibes, Massenet, Ibert, Saint-Saëns, Ravel and others, this program evokes the meditative, healing qualities of French gardens.

Duration | Approximately one hour and thirty minutes, including a twenty-minute interval.
Note | Complimentary afternoon tea will be served during the interval.
Dining Options
| A Ploughman's Lunch can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25).
