ASO at UKARIA
7:30PM
Pre-concert dining option | Antipasti platter (from $32; serves two)
Against a dusky bush backdrop, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra brings to the intimate stage of UKARIA three classics starting with an elegant Mozart serenade for winds made famous in Peter Shaffer’s epic film Amadeus. Wagner is best known for his boisterous brass and operas, so you may feel surprised by the sweetness of his oboe melodies and mellow strings in the tender Siegfried Idyll. Then Strauss inspires merriment through runaway flutes and cheeky horns in a musical tale about a medieval prankster.
