CULTURAL PROGRAM ON HOLD

UKARIA CULTURAL PROGRAM ON HOLD

It's wonderful to see the easing of restrictions and the extremely low numbers of COVID-19 cases in South Australia. On Friday 12 June the Premier Steven Marshall announced that South Australia's borders will reopen on 20 July, and gatherings of up to 75 will be permitted by Friday 19 June, with stage-three restrictions lifting by the end of the month. There will no longer be any limit on the number of indoor gatherings from July 29, provided that the venue holds no more than one person per four square metres at all times. UKARIA's auditorium measures a total of 240 square metres, which will give us a maximum capacity of 60 people (including the artists).

Whilst this is very exciting and encouraging news, it will still be some time before we are able to return to our full capacity of 220. Our cultural program will therefore remain on hold until 30 September. Of the concerts scheduled to take place between July and October, ten involve international artists who have no viable way of travelling to Australia. The remaining four concerts consist of collaborations between artists who currently reside in different states, making it impossible for them to rehearse.

Many of you are probably wondering what this means for the tickets you've purchased. We're now in a position to be able to tell you which concerts are most likely to be rescheduled. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the significant challenges of reorganising almost an entire year's worth of artistic planning. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us on (08) 8227 1277, or at info@ukaria.com.

CONCERTS WE'VE HAD TO CANCEL

It is with great sadness that we announce that the following events will not be rescheduled:

STEVEN OSBORNE
(Sunday 30 August, 2.30pm)

TABEA ZIMMERMANN, STEFANIE FARRANDS AND ANAM MUSICIANS
(Sunday 6 September, 2.30pm)

We have paid twenty-five per cent of the fees for these artists as a gift, to help them get through this difficult time. To our patrons who have already donated their tickets for other concerts in support of this initiative, we extend our deepest and sincerest thanks to you all once again.

If you have tickets to any of these events, we will be in contact with you directly to arrange one of the following options: a gift voucher credit for our 2021 and/or 2022 Seasons, the option to gift your ticket(s) as a tax-deductible donation to the UKARIA Foundation, or a full refund.

Over the coming months, we will continue to monitor the situation closely, and communicate regular updates (via email, social media and our website) as the situation develops. In the meantime, please stay safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you at UKARIA later in the year.
