HEARTS AND MINDS

Described as ‘a bold, emerging Aussie voice’ (Limelight) and a ‘young man with a special purpose’ (The Australian), Sydney-based saxophonist-composer Jeremy Rose has a multi-dimensional career spanning a dozen releases of original music, with collaborative and solo projects including The Earshift Orchestra, the Jeremy Rose Quartet, and The Vampires. He has received the APRA Professional Development Award for Jazz, three AIR Awards, and was shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize.

Bassist, composer and producer Lloyd Swanton is the co-founder of improvising legends The Necks, with whom he has performed for over thirty years. Lloyd has produced six ARIA award-winning albums, won three APRA Awards and two Australian Jazz Awards.

Simon Barker regularly performs with Australia’s most established jazz ensembles, including the Matt McMahon Trio, the Phil Slater Quartet, and several groups led by Scott Tinkler.
