The Conlon-Bailey Groovediggers

JAZZ AT UKARIA

THE CONLON-BAILEY GROOVEDIGGERS

The Conlon-Bailey Groovediggers are an ensemble of six fine jazz musicians spanning several generations. Classically trained at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, Musical Director and arranger Kerin Bailey is a master of the jazz idiom across the genres he teaches, composes, and publishes internationally. Keith Conlon is known as an enthusiastic purveyor of our history and heritage through his broadcasting career, but he is just as renowned for playing jazz. Seen behind the drums since the 1960s, he was recently inducted into the SA Music Hall of Fame. Four talented and highly regarded young musicians complete the Groove Diggers, who play a wide repertoire of popular standards and jazz favourites by Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock.

COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

The wellbeing of our audience and artists is our first priority. We've implemented a number of measures to make your experience at UKARIA as safe as possible.

Capacity

UKARIA holds an SA Health approved COVID-Safe Plan enabling us to host events with a maximum capacity of 110 people. Groups are permitted to be seated together on tables of four in the lower gallery, provided that strict 1.5 metre social distancing measures can be maintained between each table. For patrons coming alone or in pairs, we have a total of 42 single seats in the upper gallery, which will be allocated in a strict checkerboard seating arrangement. A number of seats will also be reserved for patrons requiring mobility-impaired access. Please ensure you select the ticket option that best suits your requirements.

Seating and Table Allocations

Seats and tables are allocated on a front-to-back, first-come-first-serve basis. Ticket holders will be contacted at least one week prior to the event to confirm their seat or table number(s).

Hand Sanitiser

Hand sanitiser will be provided in the foyer and alfresco bar.

Entering the Auditorium

The doors of the auditorium will open thirty minutes prior (2.00pm) to the start time of the event (2.30pm). Please see our front-of-house team in the foyer, who will check your ticket details and direct you to an usher who will help you find your allocated seats.

Refreshments

Patrons can purchase barista coffee, tea, or a glass of wine from the alfresco bar. Patrons who have booked a table of four will be permitted to bring their drinks into the auditorium to enjoy during the performance. We encourage you to wander through the garden during the interval to help us maintain physical distancing. The bar will be open ninety minutes prior to the event (from 1.00pm).

Grazing Platters

Grazing Platters will be available to pre-order for $25. The platter includes a selection of organic Adelaide Hills cheese from Paris Creek Farms and cold cuts from SKARA artisan small goods, served with olives, crackers, nuts and dried fruit.
